General Information

Where is the conference located?

Open Source Leadership Summit 2019 will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay. Visit the Venue & Travel page for more information.

How do I get to the conference?

Is parking available? How much does it cost and do you validate?

Yes. Parking is available at the conference venue for $20/day (self park – valet is available for $39/day). Visit the Venue & Travel page for details about getting to Half Moon Bay.

Where do I pick up my name badge?

Make sure you bring your registration confirmation with you when you pick up your badge. Badge pick-up is located in the Ritz-Carlton Pre-Function Foyer and will be available the following dates/times:

Monday, March 11: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Tuesday, March 12: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
Wednesday, March 13: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Thursday, March 14: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

Name badges must be worn at all times and cannot be shared with other attendees.

What is the recommended attire?

Business casual attire is recommended.

Will there be a coat or luggage check available?

Coat check will be located at the Ritz-Carlton for hotel guests. For non-hotel guests, please check at the Event Registration Desk for the location. Unclaimed items will be turned over to event security on Thursday, March 14 at 7:00pm.

What meals are provided with my conference registration?

Breakfast and lunch will be provided Tuesday – Thursday. Light reception food and drinks will be available for Happy Hours during the evenings Tuesday – Thursday.

I have a dietary restriction. Who should I contact?

In the registration form, you will be able to indicate a dietary restriction or need. You may also email events@linuxfoundation.org and reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate.

Are conference sessions being recorded or livestreamed?

Keynote sessions will be recorded and posted to The Linux Foundation Youtube channel one week after the event concludes.

How do I access a speaker's slides after the conference?

Session slides are posted to the event website as speakers provide them, up to one week after the event concludes.

Is there a conference app?

Yes! You can find information on the app and how to download it (not required) here.

Are there bookable meeting rooms I can use during the conference?

Yes, there will be a bookable meeting room available onsite. Please stop by the registration desk to reserve a timeslot.

I have questions regarding Linux Foundation membership. Who should I contact?

Registration

Can I register onsite?

Open Source Leadership Summit is an invitation only event. If you have received an invitation code, please register online. Onsite registration will not be available.

Where do I get my speaker access code?

You should have received a registration link in your acceptance email. If you did not, please email cfp@linuxfoundation.org for more details.

Where do I get my sponsor access code?

A registration link was shared in an email to your company’s sponsorship contact. Please speak to your company’s sponsorship contact if you need to register as a Sponsor. For further questions, please email events@linuxfoundation.org.

Are there media passes available?

If you are a member of the media interested in attending this conference and have not received a complimentary access code to attend, please contact our Senior Public Relations Manager, Dan Brown, at dbrown@linuxfoundation.org.

What is the cancellation and substitution policy?

If you must cancel for any reason, please notify us via email at events@linuxfoundation.org.

I need a visa letter to attend this event. How do I request one?

Are there volunteer opportunities at this conference?

There are not volunteer opportunities for this conference.

Is a hotel reservation included in my registration?

How do I make a hotel reservation?

Visit the Venue & Travel page to make a reservation within our discounted conference room block(s).

What are the discounted room rates for the conference? Is there a deadline to make a reservation?

Who should I contact if I have a question regarding my hotel reservation?

For questions regarding your hotel reservation, contact the hotel directly.

I need to cancel my hotel reservation. What should I do?

To modify or cancel your hotel reservation, contact the hotel you booked with directly.

I'm having issues booking my reservation at the conference hotel(s). Is there someone at the Linux Foundation that can help?

If the hotel reservation cutoff date has not passed, please contact events@linuxfoundation.org and a member of our team will be in touch shortly. Please note, rooms will most likely sell out in advance of the room block close dates listed. We encourage you to book early to secure a room at the conference rate.

Will there be a nursing room at the conference?

Yes. For location information, please check with registration or information desk staff onsite. If you need a refrigerator, please email events@linuxfoundation.org prior to the conference to make arrangements.

Will child care be provided?

Complimentary childcare is available at the conference; however, pre-registration is required. For more information and to register, visit the Child Care page.

What is the policy on animals at the event?

Service animals are allowed at the conference.

Will there be a quiet room onsite?

Yes, it will. Not familiar with what a quiet room is? It is a physical space where conversation and interaction are not allowed – a place where attendees can go if for any reason they can’t or don’t want to interact with other attendees at that time.

Is the conference venue accessible?

Yes. If you need assistance onsite locating an elevator or have other questions about accessibility, please speak to a member of the Linux Foundation event staff at any of the registration or information desks. If you have questions prior to the event, email events@linuxfoundation.org.
