About Amsterdam

Amsterdam

Want to visit a city that has the cleanest water in all of Europe, is considered one of the safest in its area, is the birthplace of gin and is supported by about 11,000,000 wooden poles? Then Amsterdam is your destination!

There are many unique things about Amsterdam. Did you know Amsterdam has more canals (165) and bridges (1,281) than Venice? It also has more museums per square meter than any other city in the world. Amongst them are the world-famous Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the house of Anne Frank. And, forget driving, the city’s denizens prefer to bike. In fact, there are more bikes than people (over 850,000)!

Amsterdam is also the city of houseboats, with over 3,000 situated along its complex canal structure. It also has one cat boat or ‘Poezenboot’ as it is referred to, which houses stray cats! You can find this floating feline sanctuary on the Singel canal.

So, if you’d like to see the tallest people in the world, houses that “dance”, and indulge in fries with mayonnaise, go ahead, book your ticket!

Top Things To See & Do
